February is apparently North Texas’s time for snow and ice. Last year, we got over a foot of snow just before Valentine’s Day. This year, we had 4 days off work and school because of snow and ice, February 1 through February 4. We had a fun time in it, but after 4 days being […]

No, I’m not talking about the kind that children have – the kind where your little one wakes up SCREAMING for no apparent reason, and simply will not be comforted (in many cases, your little one isn’t even really awake) by any of the normal devices. I’m talking about parental night terrors. The worries that […]

On Labor Day (yes, yes, I know, I’m late posting this – so sue me), we took the boys to Eagle Mountain Park for some hiking. Bryan had been out there trail running in December and had been itching to get the boys out there since then. The trails are well-marked and nice and wide. […]

I admit, sometimes we are Bad Parents and leave the TV on during dinner. Usually it’s for something REALLY important, like a Rangers game or a Cowboys game, or any other sporting event my boys deem it ESSENTIAL to watch. Now, my chair at the table actually faces away from the tv, so this story […]

Okay, this post is almost a week late, but cut me a break – there have been other things going on! (And no, no baby yet, so don’t ask.) Caleb has been playing indoor soccer since–well, since he was old enough to get on a team at age 3. He LOVES it. He’s fast as […]

This weekend, a kindergarten insect project turned into a family project. Caleb’s assignment was to pick an insect, any insect he wanted, and build it using things we had in the house. Then he had to write out what he used for each insect part (head, thorax, abdomen, etc.), and he had to learn enough about […]

Every year our company takes us to Rangers Opening Day at the Ballpark in Arlington. For the price of a ticket, we can also bring family or friends as guests. We even get company time – it’s nice to be paid to watch baseball. 🙂

Caleb is playing spring t-ball again this year (second season – next year we move up to coach-pitch!), and he decided that THIS season, he wanted to wear a cup, like the big boys do. So, he and Mom made a trip to Academy and picked up a pee-wee cup.
