Recent Grandma and Grandpa Visits
What a treat we had in September (hush, I know I’m late)! We got to visit with Grandma and Grandpa TWICE IN ONE MONTH!
First, Daddy, Sam, and I went to Houston for Grandma’s 60th birthday celebration. (Bubba and Bear were with their Mom that weekend, and both had sporting events, so, sadly, they didn’t get to come with us.)
We were able to get in a little swim time with Grandma (there are benefits to Houston in September, after all!).
He did actually make it off the steps and enjoy the whole pool, and his cousins joined the fun, but I only got these two pictures.
It’s not a true visit to Grandma and Grandpa’s without some snack-time at the little table and cookies for breakfast with Grandpa.
Grandpa had done things up right with a fancy-schmancy dinner at a local steakhouse. Of course, Grandpa and James were Sam’s chosen ones. He spent a lot of time in their laps.
Sam shared dessert with James and commandeered Grandpa's lap for much of dinner.
And Grandpa surprised Grandma with a GORGEOUS amethyst necklace.
Such a pretty necklace for such a pretty Momma!
THEN, just two weeks later, Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit us for the weekend (they also attended a wedding for a friend’s son). We got rain that weekend, but that didn’t stop us from watching Bubba play basketball.
And, when it’s rainy outside, why not play some ball inside?
We sure had a great time with our visits and can’t wait for the next one!
