Chargers Ready to Start Spring Season
It’s baseball season, y’all! The Chargers started their spring season with a tournament this weekend. They were 1-1 in pool play. Really, they should’ve been 2-0, but, well, we had to give the other team a break. (That and, I’m no expert, but when a pitch hits in the dirt, isn’t that a ball instead of a strike? Thanks, stinky Grampire.) They went on to play two games in bracket play, ultimately losing to the team that ended up winning it all in their age bracket.
Bear played mostly 2nd base and shortstop, with a stint or two in the outfield and even some time at pitcher! He was rocking it at pitcher, slinging them right across the plate in perfect strike zone…unfortunately, the other team’s bats were really alive, too, so they got several hits off of him.
We had pretty weather (even if it was COLD-COLD-COLD for the first game Saturday morning), and I think everyone had fun. Here’s to the start of a great spring season! As Sam would say, “GO CHARGERS!”
