7 Months and SOOOOOOOOO Big!

Published by at 3:56 pm under Family Time,Samuel Lewis

Sam hit the 7 month mark on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. He’s been growing like crazy! For the quick stats, he was at 18 pounds, 2 ounces at the dr. on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Yes, we were at the doctor’s office right before the holiday. . . for ear infection number 3. Yes, the “T” word has been uttered. The doctor has said that at the next ear infection, she’ll be referring us to an ENT to see about getting tubes put in Sam’s ears. 🙁

But, on to more fun things to report – we had a FABULOUS Thanksgiving in Houston with Mommy’s family. Sam spent some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa, and he got to know his Houston cousins a little better. We also went Christmas tree hunting for the Brandts and for Grandma and Grandpa. But, rather than bore you with all the details of our wonderful week, I’ll give you a pictoral history, in Sam’s words!

James reads Dr. Seuss’s ABCs to me.

Christopher tells me a secret while I visit with Aunt Lynne.

I had lots of fun pulling up on everything, including Daddy.

See how proud of me I am?!? (Mommy’s note: later that day, he actually let go and stood by himself twice!)

I loooooooove my Mommy!

See my TWO teeth? (Mommy’s note – tooth 2 came in a week after tooth 1)

At the Christmas tree farm, playing with Daddy’s funny mustache. (Mommy’s note – Daddy was growing this only for the month of November for Movember)

My first hayride! I loved it, and loved being outdoors.

I found some time to play with Daddy while we were tree hunting.

And I made sure to inspect Grandma and Grandpa’s tree. It’s a good one!

Playing with Grandpa – he’s so fun!

Hey! Who turned out the lights?

Back to Mommy narrating – as you can see, we had a great time. Sam’s a great traveler and he loved being at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, because, of course, they spoiled him rotten! I would’ve loved to have a video camera rolling the entire time we were there to capture every memory, but that’s not really practical. 🙂 In other news, Sam crawls EVERYWHERE and is into EVERYTHING. He pulls up with ease, and is quite proud of himself for it. He also learned to wave during our Houston trip and just charmed everyone to bits. The only thing missing from this holiday was our big boys, who were spending time with their Mom. In the spirit of the season, we truly are blessed and have SO MUCH to be thankful for.
