4 Months!
Wow – time is just flying by. Sam is a big, healthy, 4 month old now! We’ve survived his first two ear infections (one in each ear) in the last month, and are finally settling into a routine of sorts with work and daycare. Now, for the stats that I know you’re all anxiously awaiting–he’s up to 14 pounds, 6 ounces, and 25 1/8″ long. That’s 50th percentile in height and weight if anyone’s keeping track. His doctor also said we could start solids anytime between now and six months, when we think he’s ready. When will we know he’s ready, you ask? We asked the same thing – when he has good head and trunk control (check), when he starts showing interest in our food and how we eat (BIG CHECK), and when he seems less than satisfied with breast milk alone (eh…that’s about 50/50 right now). So, I think we’ll be washing the bowls and spoons that Aunt Flora gave us and buying some rice cereal on the next grocery trip. I’m sure amusing stories and photos will abound as we start that new endeavor.
And now, of course, some pictures!
Great progress! And you survived the first two months of crying jags. You two did a great job of being very patience. love the picture with the baseball outfit and the one of you and Sam at Sammies. It is a really good pic of you Julie and you look very happy!!
