“Whoaaaaaaa”
I admit, sometimes we are Bad Parents and leave the TV on during dinner. Usually it’s for something REALLY important, like a Rangers game or a Cowboys game, or any other sporting event my boys deem it ESSENTIAL to watch. Now, my chair at the table actually faces away from the tv, so this story really comes more from Bryan.
We had the TV on for some said sporting event, and a commercial for the (apparently quite violent) movie “Machete” came on. After hearing a large-sounding explosion, Jacob’s eyes got quite big and he breathed, “Whoooooooooooaaaaaaaa.” Bryan burst out laughing, and Jacob immediately blushed and said, “What!?! I was talking about the motorcycle!” By the time I turned around, the “whooooooooaaaaaaaa”-inducing scene was off the tv. Of course, I had to ask what was so funny, and Dad was all too willing to share (much to J’s chagrin). The motorcycle scene, apparently, also included a scantily-clad actress (Michelle Rodriguez, maybe?) who happened to be walking across the screen when Jacob uttered his “whoooooooooooooaaaaaaa.” Jacob still claims that he was commenting on the motorcycle, not the girl, but you can guess what Dad and I think!
Sigh…the girls-have-cooties-stage is quickly closing, eh?
The timing definitely made for a quite a few laughs!
Oh, that is too funny!! I’m going to be lauging over that one for awhile. Welcome to the pre-teen years. It only gets better from here!
